Protect Your Rights
End Flock/Third Party Warrantless Surveillance State –
Flock cameras and similar systems track every vehicle that drives past, store the data with private companies, and share it across the country with government agencies. This is warrantless mass surveillance of ordinary citizens. I will work to end these systems in Ohio and protect your right to move freely without constant government tracking.
Lower Taxes
Phase out Property Tax –
Property taxes treat homeowners like tenants of the state, forcing them to keep paying just to stay in their own homes. My goal is to phase out the property tax by reducing it 25 percent each year until it reaches zero. This gives families real relief while giving local governments time to adjust. Owning a home should mean true ownership, not an endless and growing tax bill.
I understand local services still need funding. That is why this plan must be paired with real spending restraint at the state level, ending wasteful programs, and shifting school funding so it no longer falls so heavily on local property owners. The current system is broken. We can do better without simply shifting the burden onto someone else.
Address Public Schools
Fund Public Schools Without Punishing Homeowners –
Ohio’s Constitution requires the state to secure a thorough and efficient system of common schools. Public schools should be properly funded by the state without forcing local districts to rely so heavily on property taxes that burden homeowners and drive up housing costs.
I will also work to remove overburdening mandates that pull teachers and schools away from actual teaching. Any school that receives public money (public or private) must meet the same transparency standards so taxpayers can see exactly how their dollars are spent. No secrets.
Cut State Spending
Force Government to Live Within Its Means –
Ohio families have to balance their budgets. State government should do the same. I will fight to cut wasteful spending, eliminate unnecessary programs, and stop treating taxpayer dollars as an unlimited piggybank. Every dollar the state spends comes from the people who have earned it, and will be spent transparently.
